disciples an important lesson, He didn’t take the “shortest route.”

Uh oh. This looks an awful lot like Jesus
misfired on His supernatural power and either underestimated the force
of the defect, or He misappropriated His healing...
I am drawn to the conclusion that the healing
power of Jesus was comprehensive. A touch of His cloak, the
declaration of a word, the grasp of His hand… and the physical and
spiritual transformation took root.

Certainly somebody in the event planning
department should have been thinking ahead. The crowds had started to
become a part of the normal flow of the ministry of Christ, so when
dinner time rolled around it would have seemed natural for the
disciples to have a plan… but no plan was found....
